Paige is a high school student who loves art, and her dream is to get into CalArts. She lives with her mom only, so they are close to each other. When Paige was young, she came out to her mom as lesbian. Her mom is very progressive, so there is no taboo at their home when it comes to talking about sex.

The school walls are vandalized by someone named "KingPun". Some students accuses Paige as the KingPun, and the principal believes it. On the verge of suspension, Paige agrees to join the athletics team and help find out who KingPun is by the end of school term. At the tryout, Paige seems to suck at everything, except in the hurdle race, so she joins Campos sisters and Stacey in 4x100 relay. Gabriela Campos has always been Paige's crush since fifth grade, so Paige is so nervous every time she meets Gabby. AJ is Gabby's sister, but she is much less popular, if not mysterious. It's less intimidating talking with AJ, so Paige and AJ bond together really soon after AJ becomes her coach. To catch the KingPun, Paige and Campos sisters set up a stakeout trying to trap KingPun, but they didn't make it. While waiting for KingPun, Gabby kisses Paige, but Paige finds it weird. Paige's best friend, Dillion suggests that maybe she doesn't have a huge crush on Gabby anymore. Paige and AJ grow closer as they hang out more often now. The athletic team needs to represent the school to join a competition, so they have to travel. Paige and AJ share the same room in the hotel. In the party, Paige and AJ share a kiss while playing seven minutes in heaven. AJ thought it's the first time for both of them. Later, Paige runs into Gabby in the hallway. When Gabby kisses Paige again, Paige pushes her away.

Paige now knows that what she loves is AJ not Gabby, but Gabby accidentally tells AJ that she kisses Paige before. AJ feels betrayed and leave. She also reveals that she is KingPun all along.

Being a twin sister of Gabby makes AJ feel like living under her shadow. Gabby is almost perfect in every way, so it's hard for AJ to keep up with her. Even being the less popular one, she still deserves attention and love. Sometimes we might mistake infatuation as love, but a crush doesn't always last long.
